Thornham Village Hall

Thornham village Parish Council, assisted by the Big Lottery Fund developed the multi purpose village hall to be capable of hosting a multitude of events, from sporting events, such as football and cricket, to wedding and art displays. The hall is also equipped with state of the art Audio Visual equipment for use with the Parish’s cinema club.

The building was of traditional construction with the external surfaces being a mixture of locally sourced chalk, red brick with modern edge using Red Cedar. Internally the building benefitted from technologies such as underfloor heating powered by ground source heat pumps, surface rain water was harvested and used as grey water both attributing to reducing running costs.
